"Took an impromptu trip with my husband for the weekend and while on Skyline Drive we were fortunate that Big Meadows had some vacancies. Absolutely loved the lodge. Room was wonderful and the staff was exceptional nice. The property was great for hiking and enjoying nature. We encountered a lot of deer and chipmunks around the lodge which we enjoyed watching. The on site restaurant and store was nice. This was our first stay at Big Meadows and we will definitely stay there again!"

"We were very pleased about the property. One concern the ice machine, on the floor near the lobby, was not working. The agent at the front desk was okay. Had some answers to our questions but others nothing. Example: The TV was not working. He offered to move us but we were settled in. He then gave us the password and when used it the TV worked fine. "This is a great Hotel located on I-81. The rooms are very clean, the staff very nice, the beds are a 10 out of 10 on comfort. I have stayed there twice and will again stay there when in town. "
