"Sad to report there was a houseless person in the pool area with all her belongs who proceeded to bath her self in the hot tub while trying to enjoy some time with my daughter and husband. She was talking to herself and at times we thought she may not emerge from going under. She was clearly under the influence and taking to herself and Felt unsafe. Another guest reported it to the office and they did not remove her, just asked is she was ok and left. We left because it was uncomfortable went back to the room decided to roast s’mores and order some food at the fire pits. Look over and who is there the same house less lady drying herself and changing out of her wet clothes at the fire. Again talking to herself and agitated. Sorry she is in that situation but we paid a lot to enjoy the space and amenities and could not as we felt super uncomfortable. The staff should have asked her to leave when they came to check and clearly knew she was not a guest. We’ve been coming to this hotels for the last 18 years and this changed our whole experience "

"We stayed here two nights and it was as expected. No frills, yet clean and comfortable. One of the most affordable options in Carmel and walkable to everything. Could use a bit of a remodel but honestly the room was spacious and fairly clean and was great for a short stay. We were able to use the parking lot and we felt like our car was safe the whole time and there was plenty of spaces available. "
