Tropicana Atlantic City – A Caesars Rewards Destination

6/10 Okay

"Property is clean, layout is not as friendly to find things as other high end casino-hotels. Rooms were nice. Stayed in one of the "newly renovated" towers. Elevators are horrible, not working properly and there are two with two service elevators being used. Not a great experience in that regard. The smell of smoke from smoking in the casino areas is bad. Restaurants were ok and bars were ok also - no live music in the venues unless you were going to a late night club area which was more DJ music. Younger crowd demographic in evening perhaps due to the lower rate of stay."

"Our AC didn’t work the first night. They did repair it pretty promptly, but we ended up having to change rooms and they gave us a small credit for that inconvenience. Everything was relatively clean, but it is an older hotel with dark carpet. I kept my socks on. The bathroom was very clean. I did see a roach in the middle of the night in the bathroom. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s a good location. I booked it because of the rooftop pool which ended up not being open because it doesn’t open till after Memorial Day a real bummer since we had 95° days the week before Memorial Day. This was not well advertised and I would not have stayed there had I known this. This was a package deal through Expedia, which turned out to be pretty good as it was close to where I needed to be. Not sure I would stay there again though."
