I went to Casa Blanca to celebrate my daughter’s 10 birthday. The pics online is nothing how the place looks like. My room was old with old furniture. The bathroom’s roof needs to be fixed, we almost got stuck in the elevator. I like the area, great options to eat. The pool was great and the accessibility to the beach. However, I’ll not choose this place next time.

Property was not clean. Microwave oven is not working. Heating system not working. not may eatery places within the walkable distance. Huge parking fee of $35 per day was charged. It should have been disclosed in the quote but conveniently skipped.

Did you get what you pay for?
Well, what can I say the reviews are correct. I was searching for an off the property that wasn't going to break the bank. This is not a hotel these are rented apartments and condos. With that being said, it depends on the tenant who owns the room, you will be staying that is going to give you a great room or bad room. There was roaches I had to buy raid to keep them at bay. When contacting the owner he would not reply but he did send someone from the building to come "check" out the situation. Not sure what that was going to do. The cherry on top was when I initially got there the first thing the young lady at the front desk told me was we have an issue because the tenant has not paid there dues, so we're not sure if you can come in. That just shows the level of unprofessionalism from the establishment itself. I shouldn't have to be let known of any of those things that are not in my power, and have nothing to do with me.

This property is THE CASABLANCA on Collins Avenue and 63rd street in Miami Beach. As I entered the room I noticed a new floor fan in a box on bed then realized AIR CONDITIONING does not work. I tried to contact the owner of the unit via email and phone calls but no reply for three days. The anverage temperature outside was 74 degrees the room temperature was 86 degrees.

I understand your disappointment, but unfortunately AC is a core service. You say that you have tried to contact me, but I only have one message from you asking for the unit number, another that says you have found it, and on the day of departure the claim for the lack of AC.Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Hello, I stayed with my husband at the Casablanca hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. I was unaware that each condo inside the hotel was privately owned by different individuals. We had issues with our air conditioning. It was hot and muggy in the room. We also had issues with our television, as it would reset every single day, in Spanish. We were told by the front desk that we had to contact the individual owner about the television. We decided to try and figure it out ourselves, as we are on our honeymoon and didn’t want wasted time. We asked the front desk for a roll of toilet paper, only to be told once again to contact the private owner. Their is a kitchen in our condo, however every dish was extremely greasy and dirty, like it hadn’t been washed for the next guests. The cabinets and floors were extremely dirty as well. I was intending on having a better stay here for my honeymoon, but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my stay here. I contacted the hotel about this issue & they were extremely rude and told me to use a travel agency next time. It’s clear I used Expedia and never had this problem. They said that this used to be a hotel but no longer is, and that it’s just private apartments. They did not specify that when booing or after booking. UNTIL I sent an email. I’m not sure if casabalanca is the name on Expedia, but it’s not a hotel anymore. We paid a good amount for this, I am in hopes for a possible partial refund, as this wasn’t what I had expected.

When i arrived at 4AM someone was in my room. Had Double booked us. Told me we’re given the wrong room number. The room we paid for was a Ocean View. They gave me an extra night with a half ocean view and city where there was construction workers looking in my room the whole time. After the night we found bite marks all over our bodies. Bed bugs. i felt unsafe because the security guard cat called me and asked me to dance on him? Just completely ridiculous. -5/10

Welcome to the cockroach motel
Our hotel was filthy, unsafe and cockroaches everywhere. There were dirty towels in the room and the towel bar was broken and held together with paper. There were dirty towels from the previous guests in the bathroom. The shower curtain was filthy with mould and dirt. The bathtub wouldn't drain and the toilet was leaking. The door code was the same as the room number with the addition of one digit (which I assume rotates between 1-9 for each guest). Essentially, anyone who stays there can return the next day and enter the room by using the room number + 1 digit. When I messaged to tell the owner to ask for a refund he told me he would provide me with $200 - although I only stayed for one night and paid for three ($900+) because it was too dirty and unsafe. He said that we had to leave the apartment first and once it was confirmed no one was there he would do that. However, once we left he told me he wouldn’t pay me because we left the place too dirty - he then proceeded to send me photos of the exact same things I sent him pictures of - the shower curtain, the towel rack, the dirty towels etc. This was a horrible experience all around.

The un8t itself was ok. I thing fancy but it was clean and the staff were very nice. I was just VERY disappointed that the rom looked nothing like the picture. Not even close. I understand a wal instead of a window or slightly misrepresented but that picture is modern and right on the beach. Our unit needed work and was in a hotel.

We stayed in room 402. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. The cooking supplies were limited, but adequate. A measuring cup would have been helpful, but everything else was fine. The convection oven/microwave combo was a pleasant surprise. The beach chairs and umbrella were also nice. We enjoyed our stay and loved the area. The Collins Express trolley was fantastic for visiting different locations along the beach. We loved all of the restaurants nearby and the boardwalk along the beach. We received excellent communication prior to arriving and periodically throughout our stay. The property was somewhat dated and not all rooms had balconies, but ours did. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and were pleased with the price and location.

There was so many thing i didn’t like about it. Our room was so gross. Had mold in it. It wasn’t even clean. The smoke detector didn’t work. We contacted the owner and he never responded back. We ended up staying somewhere else and eating the cost since he wouldn’t message back. Unprofessional!

Really liked the way access to the beach. The room was gross to be honest. There was dust built up on the light fixtures, the walls were dirty, there was little cockroaches in the room, and the shower didn’t work properly. We also didn’t have shampoo or conditioner in the room only hand soap.

Property owner was very gracious, but the hotel staff (valet, security, registration) were rude, unhelpful and would say they didn't know to every question we asked. The area is accommendating for walking to restaurants, entertainment, the beach, etc just don't drive because parking is non-existing

Expect to order out for meals
The biggest concerns are the safety issues. Smoke alarm is disconnected and sitting in the kitchen cabinet, deadbolt on the door doesn't work, safe doesn't even turn on, slip bar for the shower is in the kitchen cabinet as well. Then there are the inconvenience issues; bathroom door doesn't shut due to water damage, no toilet paper roll holder (in the bathroom cabinet broken off) kitchen has almost nothing to cook with (only 1 plastic spatula, 1 over sized frying pan, 1 plastic strainer and 1 soup pot with a lid. Not a single knife to chop with). I guess they don't expect you to clean up after cooking either because they only have a partial little bottle of dish soap for cleaning supplies. Makes sense why it smelled like vomit in there. The pool chairs are all bolted to the ground in the sun, so no escape, but don't worry, you can cool off in the NO HOT WATER shower. Nothing like hypothermia after a sunburn. The front desk staff act like you are bothering them to check in. Toilet runs on and off for no reason.

The apartment was in a bad shape. looked like several paint jobs were done. the stove didnt work, not enough and the beds were falling apart and a very old/noisy a/c. the picture and the actuality were completely different. Overall the complete building was in a bad shape and need restauration: elevator, swimming pool and lobby. there was no communication, only one person at the lobby to give your key. any questions/comments you had to call "Carlos". the view was beautiful though and it was very close to the beach.

Thye property was in good condition. Had all needed accessories including beach seats & umbrella, shampoo, body wash, iron, etc. The view was good. The AC seems to be set at acceptable level(could probably be a little lower) and it doesn't seem to have the ability to be changed

The pictures are a lead on, you will NOT get this room. I called several times at he day prior to my arrival to check in ( I bought a additional room due to my 5 am arrival) no answer, no call back, no email returned. When I yes arrived at 5 AM there wasn’t anyone at the front desk until 9 o’clock. We had to wait in the lobby for a front desk personnel to arrive. (exactly what I was trying to avoid with booking the additional room) The hotel is dated, dirty, and not at all what’s advertised. I thought I was booking a beachfront studio. With balcony Ocean view, also a oven. I received a dirty room with a hot plate and if you stood on 1 foot you could see the ocean.. The only good thing is The proximity to the beach.

I like that the place was clean and very nice and private. I didn't like that the communication was limited to one way of communicating. As I didn't realize I had received information in Expedia but I'm not on Expedia or have Expedia app. This was my very first time using any vacation booking site so I wasn't aware of many things. I know now, but a lot of things could have been avoided if it was many other ways to communicate information properly. I end up not being sky to check in the first night and had nowhere ride to stay and I end having to spend an additional 140 in a hotel room until the next day. So I paid for a night for my first stay that I didn't stay in and paid for another place for the same night. Otherwise the suite was nice and thank you.
