"This is my second time at the Santa Fe. This time we travelled with our friends and had our room in building 4. We were very happy again with the resort, the staff and the cleanliness and the food was great. We stayed for 10 days and only have one complaint. The Steakhouse needs an overhaul on how it handles its visitors. We went twice during our stay. The first time we were told they didn’t take reservations and gave us a buzzer and said it would be about an hour. We got in 90 minutes later. Service and food was wonderful on that occasion. On February 1st we attended again and were given a buzzer and were told an hour to hour and 15 minute wait. After an hour and a half we returned to see how much longer only to find people on the waitlist after us had already been let in. Other people waiting said they were told to come at a certain time to get in with no buzzer. One couple complained and was allowed in while another couple guests who were told to come in were then told to get back in line while the couple who complained got in. The lady working giving out buzzers asked me 5 times for my room number and how many guests. We finally got in almost 2 and a half hours after signing up. The waiter basically ignored us, table wasn’t cleaned, we had to ask for silverware, had to ask for buns, were told there was no red wine but clearly saw there was and had to ask again for it. Horrible service. Otherwise the resort is fantastic. "
