The Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & SPA

"Me and my husband stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights which was also our last part of our trip in Bali. The hotel is beautiful and the location is great. It’s located right outside Campuhan Ridge Walk trail which takes around 20 mins walk to central Ubud. Our room came with free mini bar for 1 night, we had a complimentary hotel transfer to the airport at the end of our stay and the hotel had free daily activities each day as well. The only downside would be our room had a damp smell but other than that no complaints!"

"Maya Ubud genuinely felt like heaven. It is one of those places where the setting is as much a part of the experience as the hotel itself. The resort is surrounded by nature, rice fields, forest and the river valley, so it feels incredibly peaceful and removed from everything even though you are still close to Ubud. Walking around the property was an experience on its own. We stayed in the Maya Presidential Villa and the photos online honestly do not do it justice. It is enormous, around 950 square meters, and feels much more like having a beautiful private home in the middle of nature than staying in a hotel villa. The space, privacy, pool and surroundings really need to be experienced in person. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, always warm, thoughtful and attentive. We had friends over one evening and the team prepared a private BBQ dinner for us at the villa. A special shoutout to Yoga or Yogal, who took care of us for the BBQ and made the evening especially memorable. Maya actually offers this as an in villa grill experience with a private chef, and I would definitely recommend doing it if you are staying in one of the villas. I genuinely did not want to leave. If you are coming to Ubud and want somewhere that feels peaceful, immersed in nature and completely different from a normal resort, Maya is very special. I would come back without hesitation."

"We were there our 28th wedding anniversary and we couldn’t believe how beautiful the place was. The entire staff went above and beyond in every detail. Housekeeping in particular were so amazing. They made our room feel so comfortable and inviting each time we arrived back to the hotel at the end of a long and hot day. The Copper rooftop staff were so friendly and welcoming. The whole experience made our celebration that much more memorable and special. I know that Ubad is becoming overrun with tourism, but every Balinese person there was always friendly and warm despite our taking over the space. Bali is the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited and the memory will stay with us forever. Suksma!"

"Located on the steep hills on the outskirts of Ubud, we chose this hotel based solely on its location and the photos we found online. As with any booking made from pictures alone, your imagination inevitably starts to paint a picture of what the hotel and its surroundings might actually be like. The road leading to the hotel is narrow—at times it feels as though there's barely enough room for the taxi to pass. Winding through rice fields and dense jungle, the journey itself builds a sense of anticipation. Eventually, you arrive at the hotel entrance, where a gently sloping driveway leads down to the reception area, offering your first glimpse of what awaits. We arrived late in the evening, making it difficult to fully appreciate the setting at first. Even so, it immediately felt like a hidden jungle retreat, and the atmosphere was simply breathtaking. The pool area, located a short walk down from the reception, is undoubtedly the jewel in the hotel's crown. Perched above a deep ravine and surrounded by lush tropical jungle, it offers spectacular views and an overwhelming sense of peace and tranquillity. The rooms are spread throughout the property, connected by pathways that wind through the lush gardens. Although the resort has more than 70 rooms and villas, it never feels crowded. Instead, the layout creates a sense of privacy and seclusion. Our room wasn't particularly large, but it certainly wasn't small either. For two people, it was just the right size, with everyt"
