"An owner-run hotel that is small enough (12 rooms) for the staff to know you and attend to you personally. Rooms may not have the most modern fittings but is big, comfortable, and clean. Has hot water for shower and wifi too. Stayed twice at this hotel recently, both wonderful experiences. Breakfast is served personally: fruit platter, juice, choice of Indian or Western toast, with coffee or tea amidst rooftop dining area with lovely view of sea. Short 200m walk to beach. "The hotel was a little tired looking, but this was made up for by the attitude of all the staff. Everyone was extremely helpful and polite. The pool was lovely and clean as was its surrounding area, restaurant staff helped us with the different foods,and check in staff lovely."

We ended up in the room overlooking the street and did not have trouble with noise at all. Clean well decorated room, clean bathroom. The person at the check in helped us a lot of information about ways to explore mahabalipuram, how to get to chennai next day, where to eat etc. Also showed us a shortcut to go to the music festival on the beach.
