"The only disappointment was regarding the Speakeasy. The hotel website did not clarify that seating was very limited to not available at all. The was no open bar and only a handful of tables that required advance reservations. We had planned our trip and told our guests that the Speakeasy was our central meeting place and then none of us could get in. If you need an open bar to meet friends this is the wrong place. We should have stayed somewhere else."

"We were in Ames for a dance competition this weekend. The staff was incredibly polite and responsive to any questions we had. Convenient location near the highway, not far from restaurants and entertainment. The hotel was comfortable with a very nice pool area! Our family had a wonderful time. "

My son went down one slide with a life jacket and the second time was told he couldn’t wear that one. He had to wear one that buckled in the back not in the front. The rules weren’t posted on the life jackets. "
