Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was very clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, and it is excellently located, just a few minutes walk away from the ferry into Mackinac island. We had a lake view room, the sun reflected on the water most of the day, it was a heavenly sight."

"Wonderful location right on Lake Huron! Every room had a beautiful view of the lake. Well kept landscaping, beautiful flowers and plants, sand volleyball court, lots of beach chairs and forks fire pits.... restaurant had decent food and okay prices for a tourist spot. Breakfast was just like at Holiday Inn Express. All staff were helpful. Wonderful indoor hot tub and pool. Not a luxury hotel and not really fancy. But clean, comfortable, beautiful location, and great place to relax."

"We had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan! The sunrise was gorgeous! The room was nice and cozy with pine walls! The only downside was we could hear other guests talking from other rooms. They should have made it more soundproof."

The Inn At Stonecliffe

The Inn At Stonecliffe

8/10 Good
"The property is very beautiful and relaxing they offer free carriage rides when you arrive and when departing however if you go anywhere else on the island it cost $11 person one way. This property is a 30-45 minute carriage ride to town. I feel with the cost to stay at this property they should include rides to and from town. When we arrived they took our luggage up to the property so we could stay in town however when we wanted a ride to the resort the carriage for the property was nowhere to be found I called them to send a carriage and waited no one showed up we ended up paying for a taxi which was $11 per person. I also had received an email for a complimentary upgrade to my reservation, when we checked in I showed them the email and was told they had nothing available but I could pay for an upgrade. Beautiful property and I would recommend staying here just beware of the extra cost for carriage rides but you can rent a bike or walk."

"I had wanted to go to Mackinac Island for years and finally had the opportunity to do so this year. The front porch of the motel with its cool breeze and rocking chairs provided a beautiful view of the Lake and ships out in the water. The fire pits on the lawn were awesome at night as we sat around and talked with other guests of the motel. The room was clean, the staff was exceptional, and the breakfast was great. We plan to return."
