"Good room, clean, bathroom was tiny ( had to shut the door to be able to get in the shower) but clean, double bed mattress was a bit soft ( rolled in the middle). Good air con, Swimming pool a nice touch ( although needs a bit of a refurb to modernise) had steam room, sauna and hot tub. However was supposed to shut at 8pm and guy shut hot tub at 7:15pm then asked us to get out at 7:40pm. Breakfast was good but very busy due to a large coach party, they were replenishing the food even though they’d been told no plates! Restaurant was reasonable in the evening food was nice and plentiful and kids ate for free! Would we return prob not but it served its purpose as a 1 night stop over for a day out."

"I am somewhat biased, as this is where my dog and I prefer to stay on our fairly frequent visits to this lovely part of our country - I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for their hospitality, their food, the excellent breakfasts, some proper beer on tap, comfortable rooms (I've tried three of the six to date, all very comfortable, each with it's own character). I'd recommend their Wednesday wings and Sunday carvery in particular. I won't say more this time, as I suspect I'll have more to say next review! Just try it: helps if you like dogs; an ideal location for exploring East Anglia (not far from anywhere really, sited in central Norfolk, not far from the A11 to Norwich); if you're not from these parts, please visit to see an English pub and experience the atmosphere; AND it's good value for money too!"

"Lovely place to stay. Excellent breakfast. Slight problem with, I presume memory foam mattress which is far hotter than we are used to. We also invited friends over for a meal in the bistro. Very disappointing, very slow to get the meals (over 30 minutes?). I think my burger had been sitting around on a hot plate for ages as the bun was totally dried out and hard, my husband said the same of his. Our guests obviously didn't complain apart from we had specifically ask for no tomato on one of their burgers and it turned up with tomato!"

"It would have been very helofull if we had been told the procedure fir booking in after 9pm. The campus was deserted so no one to ask. Eventually found a lady who informed us ro find the security guard who gave us a key, told us to go back to the main road and find our way into the carpark and then proceed to the hotel. No idea where that was. After walking round the campus did eventually found 2 people who showed us the way. The whole process from driving on to the campus to getting into room took almost one hour. Room, hotel etc perfect."

"Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested. We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot. Plenty of parking. Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay. That's why we keep going back and also you have a choice of breakfast part of the deal."
