Lovely spacious and clean room and excellent swimming pool. Perfect getaway location

We had a weeks' vacation at the hotel and had a wonderful time. Couldn't ask for a better location: right on the Bay, next to the Memorial Park (which was very nicely done) and you could walk as far as the Baseball Park on the waterfront. Not far to walk to Seville Quarter and Historic District. Also handy to be just before the bridge for when the beach beckoned. Good facilities, large room with excellent bathroom

We were visiting the Moundville Archaeological park but there was a football game on in Tuscaloosa so every other hotel was booked way in advance. Although this was not our first choice we were really pleasantly surprised and it was a welcome retreat from the football hordes everywhere else. There is not really much going on in Opp and this hotel is situated towards the edge of town but it is adjacent to a selection of fast food places, a supermarket and a few thrift shops so you don't need to drive out if you need...

We would like to say a huge thank you to Kit and all the amazing staff at Callaway resort and spa for making our stay so special. We were lucky enough to stay in the lodge Hotel and a cottage during our visit to the USA. The cottages are beautiful and set in the pine forest and their swimming pools are amazing. We also stayed in the lodge hotel - again a very special place which is beautifully maintained and tranquil. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the setting of the...
