"Staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent. We had ocean view. The only thing I can say negatively is, when it rained, we had no tv for two nights in a row. They need a better internet provider."

"Brei at check-in was fantastic. The room was clean and well maintained. Hispanic ladies at breakfast were warm, welcoming and attentive. The rest of the black staff were rude, unfriendly, unprofessional and openly racist against white guests. Management should train employees to treat everyone equally and respectfully."

"The staff were the sweetest and most helpful! Starting with breakfast, everyone was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. I suggest buying the breakfast plan. You can choose eating the buffet or the cooked to order breakfast. Both were delicious! We loved the straight access to the beach. Just beware that the chairs and umbrellas on the beach are rentals and it's $45 a day or bundle a couple of days at a discounted rate. The lazy river is nice, unless there's a lot of kids then it can get crowded and loud! Other than that, our stay was amazing!"

"Travelers this is something I didn't see upon booking parking is $10 a day. Also beach chairs and umbrellas are $45 dollars a day. If you are a coffee drinker theirs is no complementary coffee. Save yourself $$ and bring your own beach chairs and cooler for alcoholic beverages. The drinks are $$. Over all everything was expensive! I Will not return. It is much better to do an all inclusive in Mexico! The staff was great! Lots of restaurants close."

"The only cons to this hotel is that we stayed from Sunday until Wednesday and we asked for our beds to be made with fresh linens and our bathroom to be cleaned and the hotel associate told us yes as long as it wasn’t anything on our beds. No one never came to assist! Other than that this hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly! Breakfast was ok! Loved the all day coffee bar and the good quality muffins served at breakfast"

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gulf Shores by IHG

6/10 Okay

"The tv in our room didn’t work. Staff was aware because there was a Post-It note taped to the wall with instructions on how to use the lobby remote to make it work. (Spoiler: directions and neither remote made the tv work.) Black mold on our bathroom ceiling because there was no vent fan. Age and lack of maintenance most obvious in bathroom. Tons of hard water buildup on shower head. Products look decades old. Bed was decent. Sausage at breakfast was good. Eggs reconstituted. Not worth the price of the stay; will not return."
