Surfrider is a bespoke and modern hotel with an idyllic SoCal/surf vibe, and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s right off the PCH (opposite ocean side) with views of the pier and a popular surfing location.
Highlights:
Private guest only restaurant on the roof top with incredible views – dined here twice for breakfast, and both meals were delicious. Menu items are thoughtful and Californian cuisine inspired. Loved their banana bread and chorizo burrito. Highly recommend trying at least once if you visit.
Design – side view room was beautiful with an ocean/ranch style aesthetic. Lots of natural wood, and neutral color tones, with soft lighting to add to the calming atmosphere. Noteworthy amenities include waterfall shower and bath products by AMASS. Super comfortable bed.
Tips for improvement:
Details – special touches are always appreciated, and a couple were missed. Our room included a welcome note, but it wasn’t addressed to us (it was addressed to another party). The Netflix remote battery was not working and had to be replaced.
