You really can’t beat the location! It’s a fine place to stay, I think it’s a great price for where you are if you’re not planning on spending a ton of time in your room.

I was surprised to have a breakfast buffet free of charge for me. It's a very nutritious and balanced diet especially for traveller who's no time to do grocery shopping for doing a proper meal. Anna was the counter staff when I checked in earlier than expected. She's helpful to offer an available unit with an upgrade free of charge. In our free time, we were chatting about almost everything interesting for an hour. I stopped chatting when she's to attend to the customer checking in.

The Hotel is in an old building which has been renovated to a modern standard with compromise. Good location, parking available nearby at additional cost. There’s a Restaurant in the same building which served a tasty slightly different breakfast in a lovely indoor/outdoor setting. There’s also some secure luggage lockers onsite.

The property is almost 100 years old. My room was cute, up a small flight of stairs to the second floor. It features a full size mattress, a modest closet with ironing board and iron, and a nice sized bathroom that featured a shower with good water pressure and excellent hair/soap/lotion products. I slept well for both nights. The food in the restaurant was also very good, especially at breakfast (which is why they charge an extra $25 for the glass of wine and the breakfast (not like at a Hampton Inn at all!) They also had all of the newspapers--on paper which was a pleasure to read. The property is well located for what I needed to do.

This hotel is very unique. I love all the pictures of stars, like Madonna and Elton John and retro feel with chandeliers throughout. I loved my room. My room was super huge and comfortable with the same classy retro music stars vibe. It was clean and the sofa was bigger than I imagined. It was perfect. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially two gentlemen that work in the evening, one ehen I first arrived snd the other had emerald eyes, they were both so kind to me and patient as I continuously used the hotel cell phone to resolve credit card issues and my phone had stopped working. They were true angels, I hope you know who you are!! They went above and beyond.

Old building in good location. First floor room had lots of noise from interior courtyard where back of room window area looks into, from maintenance work area and noisy restaurant cleaning work. Window air conditioner did not work well. The best amenity provided was earplugs. Photos show view of work/storage area outside window of room.

This hotel is in a good location to visit LA with a (paid) parking garage across the street. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, no major issues with the hotel, but the mattress was in such poor condition it made my stay fairly unpleasant. I have actually never experienced a mattress in such dire need of replacement at a hotel. I think if the hotel made some updates, I would return, but otherwise I would not. If you are a light sleeper just be aware the street can be a bit loud sometimes, but earplugs were provided.

On the plus side: great location, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. The gentleman at reception this morning was congenial and helpful. On the other side: The property is tired, old, and not very clean. I was given my key at 4:20 p.m. and sent up the stairs to me room, where I found the housekeeping staff just beginning to clean. They said they needed another 20 minutes. I asked reception if a clean room was available, and there was not. This was attributed to the hotel being "full." The "king classic" room I stayed in has not been updated for a long time. There are no electrical outlets except one power strip in the corner, behind a table, away from the bed. Two chandelier-type lights on either side of the bed can be operated only by a switch by the door. These are the only lights in the room, and they provide inadequate light. There is quite a lovely globe light on the table opposite the bed, but it did not work. The bathroom is tiny and dark (one yellow ceiling light that's accompanied by a loud fan), with a concrete floor and small square concrete slab that holds a glass vessel sink. There's a wall-mounted faucet that splatters vigorously when the water is turned on. There's nowhere at all to put anything in the bathroom. The shower is the type that can't be used unless you want to soak your hair (I did not). The charges totaled $400 for one night, plus $60 for valet parking, plus a $25 "hotel fee" I was not aware of nor expecting. I would not stay here again.

The hotel is in an excellent location, but that’s the only good thing. While the door and safe are fitted for a card passkey, you were given a key to use. There was no chair in the room, so I had to request one. Extremely small bathroom. The window faced a wall. The unit had a small, noisy window A/C. I felt this hotel is being run for max profit, due to location.
