A cutely renovated hotel/motel with convenient parking, close to the beach. The room we stayed was not huge but clean and comfortable. Recommended.

We loved everything about this place! From the staff members Enrique who was outstanding and went above and beyond! Rosa, Sindy, and Laura who always worked so hard everyday! Along with all the other staff! You were all AMAZING!! Would come back in a heartbeat! The bikes were an added bonus we looked forward to riding every day! Thank you all for an amazing time!!

ADORABLE, pet friendly, intimate boutique hotel centrally located in Santa Monica! We found the team at SMH to be welcoming and accommodating! We were very fortunate to discover this mini oasis when we needed a last minute room, and couldn’t have been happier! SMH is in a great location, we could walk our pups around the block & were close to everything! We really appreciated being able to park (free!) right outside ur room as well.

Good place to stay for the night. Clean, easy parking, Mel’s Dinner was 4 blocks away. Staff was helpful, mattress was great and short drive to beach. Not fancy but comfortable.

Overall, pretty decent. Although it was $200 a night with taxes and fees, that's a little bit lower than other places in the area so I'm taking that into account. The main issue is there was no air-conditioning, just fans. I know it's January so they had the heat on and the air-conditioning units off, but it was nearly 80° today and the room itself stayed significantly hotter than the outside air, even with all the windows open and fans going. Only other negative was I found a sponge in the shower behind the shampoo bottle that had a bunch of hair sticking out of it, that was disgusting but not a huge deal because I just didn't touch it and the rest of the shower was clean. The room was also clean and nice, although it could've used a desk area to work at. They clearly are putting some work into keeping it updated, keeping up with the paintwork and design of the hotel, so kudos to them.
