The Bedford Hotel is ideally situated with restaurants, shopping, musuems, parks, tube stations, and bus stops nearby. The staff is professional, the rooms clean, and the beds very comfortable.

A quiet (for London) part of town that’s still walking distance to things like the British Museum or Covent Gardens.its bracketed between two Underground stations and well serviced by busses. There are budget-friendly food options and lots of middle-upscale dining too! The hotel itself can feel small for North American tastes, but like everything in London, you’ll adapt quickly and find it all very charming.

Great location near the British Museum. Breakfast was hearty. There are two subway stops within easy walking distance. Walls of my room were a little thin. The first night I could hear the conversations in the next room. After that, the room was vacant. Besides that issue, I had an excellent stay and would gladly return.

Bedford Hotel feels like a little oasis of zen in big and wonderfully crazy city. There’s just enough of everything. The area around the hotel feels really safe (and my frame of reference are big boring Canadian cities). I found budget-friendly food-choices all within a block or two’s pleasant walking distance. Note: All of London seems to have a different mindset around accessibility than does North America, but that shouldn’t reflect specifically on any hotel.

It was such a great experience staying at Bedford Hotel, the staff was very friendly, room service impeccable. My friend and I went to London to celebrate my birthday and everything was outstanding, hotel has a traditional English breakfast which is so delicious. So I'm very happy with my experience and strongly recommend this hotel.

The location wasn't central. Could walk to many places. Many restaurants and convenience stores around it. Walking in the Russell park close to it in the morning was enjoyable. Lovely decor and even numbered rooms face away from the street. Clean and cheerful rooms; decent English breakfast. Staff is neutral. Location is great - right by the British Museum and many tube stops to choose from. They could have 5 stars if they fixed the hot water situation. It was nearly impossible to get warm water to come out of the low pressure shower. It was either scalding hot - I burned myself twice. - or cold or back and forth between the two. A good shower is a key part of a good stay. I asked for someone to look at it. No change. I would stay again but for the shower difficulty.

The only suggestion I would make to the hotel staff is to improve the soundproofing around the communicating doors between rooms. We were wakened at 4:30 one morning by the voice of our neighbour making a phone call, and ditto on another evening around midnight.

Property was very nice and very convenient in the heart of Bloomsbury with easy access to the tube and various buses. The only issue I had was that noise came through the adjoining door from the guests in the connected room. If it's possible to install some soundproofing to the two doors, that would be a good improvement. The breakfast was very good, although I would have appreciated some crusty bread or crusty rolls; the bread that was provided was only good for toast.

The room looks bigger on the picture than it actually is. Room was stuffy when we arrived so we had to open all windows to make it better. Shower and sink were separate from toilet which is fine. However, tub is so big that door can open all the way. AND shower curtain was so short that after each shower, water spilled all over the floor since shower curtain was not long enough to stay inside the tub.
