Also, the gentleman who helped me, went so far out of his way to make sure my needs were handled. Thank you, to him. I had to be to the hospital by 7 a.m. and he took an extra step in helping me. I wish i could remember his name, but i sure hope Doubltree by Hilton will honor this staff member.( i checked in around 6 p.m.on the 13th of October. He deserves to be recognized and a vacation-- paid weekend. He was an amazing staff member, and Doubletree by Hilton should be proud of having a staff member that can go so far out of the path in helping a stranger in need; and be a mentor to the other staff memebers. And re.ember that team work make your dream work. I ask that this staff member be recognized. He is an amazing employee --you should be proud to have him on your staff. Thank you again. "

"We stayed one night for an event downtown and I didn't want to spend several hundred dollars. This is perfectly adequate. The sheets smelled of bleach, so I know they were clean. It's a typical motel room. The low price is because it's incredibly dated, worn. If a Super 8 is as low in the food chain as you will go then this place is not for you. We saw something super cool in this place. Echos of a glamorous past. We hope the owner renovates. "

"Lovely historic hotel with spacious, quiet rooms, and comfortable beds. Stayed for one night on our way north. There are evening events such as alcohol tastings in the lobby area and a small free breakfast. We also received a small bottle of wine as part of our online booking which was a nice touch. "
