"Lovely staff, however the rooms need some TLC. Appreciate when you paying cheap you are not expecting anything fancy, but the soap dispenser was broken in the bathroom and replaced with a bottle of "bath soak". Walls are paper thin, bed was hard and we found a nail on the floor. If you are hardy and want a cheap location near the beautiful national park, you will be fine, but bring your own supplies."

"Great location. Lovely property. Pillows were awful and couldn’t get WiFi unless we paid for it (after 2 hrs) The information about the property was great. We would have expected a couple of washing machine tablets though But this did not spoil our stay."

"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
