"having had an enjoyable stay previously we booked again and were looking forward to the trip. Sadly, our trip was not possible due to high snowfall and traffic disruption. I messaged the hotel to say the roads were impassable and asked them to refund or move my booking to a later date. Not even an answer despite a follow up mail."

"Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys. "

"Room in main house - tired , Wet carpet from radiator leaking, toilet seat nearly falling off and dangerous. Rooms in new extension are much better. Good value but need more staff! We were ignored again during evening dinner - there’s simply not enough staff! This happened last time. No interaction at all after meal was delivered- so they lost money on desserts and coffee and more drinks. Won’t eat there again. Food was actually good ( steak)"

"Stayed in a King Suite which was amazing. Spa was lovely and very clean. Ate in the restaurant one night which was also very nice. Relaxing and highly recommended."

"Second stay, just as enjoyable as the first. Staff are friendly, rooms are a good size though it can be a bit of a walk from reception and a little maze like. Nice location although the building itself is showing signs of its age. Spa downstairs is well equipped and there are lots of peacocks wandering around the grounds. Area is very nice, close to Snowdon, not too far from Chester or the coast. "

"I didnt stay i checked in to see the room i went back to receprtion to see if they had a better room and no luck we stayed in the car all night and left for home in the morning we cut our break short and im trying to get my money back Best regards Simon gregory "
