"It is rare to find a hotel that truly feels like home to you, but Kamunjila Lodge makes you feel like you belong there from the moment you walk through the gate. The staff are so kind and friendly that you feel like you have known them for years. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have the charm of Africa. I will go back whenever I return to Livingstone."
"The hotel is amazing, the location being on the Zambezi rivers makes for stunning views especially at sunset. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with any question or request you have. The rooms were nice, modern and very clean. Mosquito repellent was provided in the rooms which was nice to have. The breakfast had a wide varied selection with everything you would expect all to a high standard.
The only thing to note is that as the hotel is a little bit out of town which is a highlight as it’s in a national park and you can see elephants very close by and but the price of taxis can add up quickly, with a trip to Livingstone costing $15 one way at the time of our visit.
Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in the area."
"My wife, son, and I had an excellent and memorable stay here. Our room was spotlessly clean, thanks to the fantastic housekeeping team, and the showers were incredible—it felt just like standing under Victoria Falls! The food was great, particularly the breakfasts and the poolside restaurant. However, I would have loved to see more local Zambian dishes on the standard restaurant menu. That said, the evening cultural show was a highlight, offering a wonderful display of Zambian culture alongside delicious traditional food. The hotel’s location is unbeatable; we easily walked to Victoria Falls three times and even took a day trip across the border. Additionally, the staff was highly helpful in arranging our airport transfers and excursions.
Another highlight is the animals roaming around. It's quite the experience to be lounging by the pool and have a giraffe standing next to you. Or looking out your window to see baboons or zebras.
We would definitely return."
Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara
10/10 Excellent
"This place was relaxing and exceptional. Staff were very helpful including assisting with animal viewing on the property. Restaurant prices are very high and food was average (although we didn't eat in the fine dining Restaurant). Breakfast had a wonderful choice.
Views of the river, the thunder and spray of the Falls, together with easy walking and (free) access to the Falls (Zambia side) was great. The animals around the property made it more of an experience than just a luxury hotel. We would love to come back."
"It has been 9 years since my first stay here and it never disappoints. My favorite place to stay in Zambia. Its clean, quiet and includes a made to order breakfast. The staff is so warm and welcoming. Kennedy is wonderful!"
