Pros: Great location - walking distance to metro, restaurants, & Praca do Comercio. The room & bathroom are big and clean. Cons: Elevator stinks & the floor is dirty. Had to walk up a short flight of stairs to my room. The carpet on stairs is dirty. Reception staff (female & male with nose piercing) are not friendly. The breakfast is terrible, food is literally rationed. Not worth it even though it's free.

We had a great stay at the 8 downtown. Our room was great and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was close to everything! We walked everywhere no problem. Would recommend and stay again.

This was a cute boutique hotel with spacious rooms and bathroom (as compared to other rooms in Europe). The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It was a very convenient location and very walkable to various dining and shopping options and also close to the metro.
