"Apple Orchard was doing some renovations and construction when I stayed there but I still had a very comfortable stay. It is a great place to acclimatize because it is lower altitude than Leh, so I went straight to Ulleytokpo after flying to Leh. They had delicious healthy food and a comfortable room. After acclimatizing I took some long walks to nearby monasteries that also helped with further acclimatizing, and they had helpful advice on how to catch the bus back to Leh. "Our room was large and very comfortably furnished, with a large attached bath. Hot water was available whenever electricity was available. Any visitors to Nubra Valley should be aware that electricity services can be erratic in the valley, but we found it was better in Turtuk than in Diskit."
