We visited old Mesilla again, there is plenty of hiking nearby - we hiked at Picacho Peak. We stocked up on Hatch Chiles, and pecans. There are nice parks and public art...

Las Cruces is a lovely city. If you're ever there check out the Saturday morning market, Young Park was great with a pond and several playgrounds for kids.

We have always enjoyed our stops in Las Cruces. I wish we could spend more time there studying the history and cultural environment. It is only a short drive to Hatch Valley to find the world's most amazing chili peppers.

We decided to stay in Las Cruces because it is also very convenient to get to White Sands, my pregnant girls were going to take pictures there and it was very close to there. Las Cruces has grown a lot and it seems to be a great place.

Cool little old town, with a well kept downtown historic center. A few rough areas, but easy to spot them.
