"Charming and comfortable apartment located in a cottage in the exclusive grounds of a breath-takingly beautiful old country house just a few minutes by car from Newlyn/Mousehole/Penzance. The kitchenette offered everything we needed for a two-night stay (although we were out all day and chose to eat out in Penzance in the evening) and we appreciated the separate children’s bedroom and two bathrooms. Disappointed that the excellent food at dinner could not be tried at breakfast - arrangements were offered to eat next door but we were so full from the night before we didn’t bother. "The location was superb, room fantastic view however the hotel inside needs some tlc. The carpet inside the lift was worn, the dining room ceiling was patched up; in my room the tiles surrounding the bath needed re grouting, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling away in the corners and the furniture in my bedroom was shabby and required revarnishing and the paintwork in my room needed touching up and the window frames needed cleaning. The bed through was the nicest bed ever, so...
