"Started with waiting 30 minutes to check in. At one point the elevator went out. We were on the 4th floor and had to carry all luggage down. I had two rooms booked. The other room the AC wasn’t working. They were told they can’t control it. Wouldn’t change their room. Their room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. They don’t smoke. Again, they wouldn’t change their room. Could be a great hotel but need better customer service."

"Was not greeted by a person at the check in desk, instead I was greeted by a screen with an agent in a call center somewhere to check in. Room was clean-ish. Refrigerator was broken. Phone in the room did not work. Shortly after arriving I got the standard “welcome…text us if you need anything” text message. Mentioned we needed some more towels. No response. Eventually we went down and saw someone’s else getting their own towels from a cabinet so we grabbed some too. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was conveniently located right off the freeway. I would not stay again when visiting the area."

"The staff at the Brickhouse Inn were very helpful. I always had a quick response when I sent them a questions they the messaging part of the Expedia app. We stayed in the Texas Room- such a beautiful room, decorated nicely. So fun to stay in a place that was a part of history. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great and everything was very clean. It is in a great spot in town, very walkable to both ends of the main section of town. We did the grab and go breakfast a few days and had the air down breakfast 1 morning- delicious!! We really enjoyed rocking in the chairs on the porch in the evening and mornings. We hope to be back someday to visit again!!"

"Pool broke and closed for our stay Bed sheets and towels had stains on them. Shower head was operational but lots of the holes were plugged up. Our room was moved due to the inconvenience of pool being broke which made it bit lighter mood. Breakfast was interesting scrambled eggs weren’t full cooked very runny like. Would enjoyed to see bagels or biscuits. I wouldn’t stay here again but the price was cheap so you get what you pay for. Staff was great besides all the other stuff being bad or not good."

"We've stayed here many times, being one of the first customers when they first opened. The location is 10 out of 10. The property itself is 9 out of 10. They need to do some upkeep inside. Our room was pretty good except - the bathroom shower needs attention. Needs new caulking and a thorough deep cleaning. The refrigerator in our room sounded like Darth Vadar ALL night. It took a bit to get the AC regulated, but we finally did. The most annoying thing was our room key - we had to get it replaced all 3 days we were there. They kept saying "you can't put it near electronics like your phone" - we didn't!! It was an easy fix, BUT they needed BOTH cards each time, it was just a hassle when you're trying to get into your room after a long day. We will return for sure, but this was our experience THIS visit."
