Overall, the American Inn was excellent for our two night stay to attend the car show. Our room was clean. Our dogs traveled along and this Inn was pet friendly. The location was close to where we needed to be. Restaurants were within minutes. Coffee was available at the office in the morning. Our room had a microwave and a mini fridge. We did notice cigarette smell came in the room from the coil, every time the air conditioner ran. We also had a neighbor who had his TV on all night long. We could hear it. Not much you can do though. You try to sleep through it. Plenty of parking and the staff was friendly. The price fell in line for the comfort. I would recommend for those looking for nothing fancy just minimal.

Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, it needs some upgrading. The inside, while no frills, is exceptionally clean, and the beds are big and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Easy drive to beautiful downtown Carlisle. For a night or two, a great value. Will definitively stay there again the next time through.
