The rooms were very clean. The staff went out of their way to take care of our needs. Rooms were more than we expected loved it would we come back yes! Had a beautiful view of the lake a lot of things you could do within walking distance .

We stayed in room 228 where there is a deck, however the deck was not enjoyable because of the bird poo…. That appears to be related to the trees surrounding the deck which are also blocking the view of the lake. I would strongly suggest trimming them to maximize what this hotel room has to offer

Won’t be going back.
We understood going into this that it was an old motel and we were ready for that. However when we arrived they were in the middle of snaking out our toilet and it all just went down hill from there. The toilet never flushed properly the entire weekend. The pine scented cleaner they used had an overwhelming smell that burned your nose. The shower fluctuated at least 15 degrees instantly. It would be comfortable then scalding hot and then freezing cold all within a few minutes. For some reason the floor always felt damp. It was weird to walk around barefoot and always have that feeling on your feet. The temperature was comfortable in the room and the staff seemed somewhat attentive. For the price we just hoped for a slightly better stay.

My stay was nice but the door look was very hard to open. They should look into new door locks that use cards. Room was meet but there was still stuff left from whoever was there before and they had to vacuum again and tv was not hooked up which was an easy fix. The channels that were offered could’ve had at least one cable movie channel.

The new pergola was very nice. We have stayed many times at Sundowner and this was a disappointment for us. We loved it so in the past. The price was very high and the room was not our usual cabin type. 😑
