The area is the best you will find in central Lugano. There is a funicular next to the hotel taking you directly to Lugano train station. The lake is 200m walk. The service is as good as any hotel I have ever been. The staff and very friendly and helpful. They helped me plan my trip to the two main Lugano mountains. Highly recommend this hotel for several reasons. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location- minutes from the train station (exit at platform 4).
