Shantaa is the most peaceful place i have been in thailand - its very private and even when the resort is fully booked it seems like there is four of five times more space than required. This makes it very special and magical - the staff are excellent and the food is also great ! Beds are super comfortable and the servive is perfect . Shantaa is a perfect place for people who are looking to escape life and find true tranquility for a moment - be careful though you might never want to leave !!

Beautiful location with an exclusive feel. Bungalow 5 offered a fantastic vista. Everybody working on site was happy, welcoming and friendly (including Coco, Oreo, Lazy and Day the dogs (maybe that's just Thailand)). The breakfast was lovely, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had! Good value scooter rental to easily explore the small, quiet, beautiful island. Thank you everybody at Lazy Day. 🙏Khop Khun Khrap🙏

A good hotel that won't disappoint in a secluded location on a quiet paradise island.
The rooms are finished to a high standard.
To explore the island we definitely recommend taking the scooters
We had the family villa with 5 adults. The extra bed was a mattress on the floor. A better extra bed, maybe a rollaway bed would be appreciated. Also the housekeeping staff did not make this bed each day which was strange.

Location is ideal, on a beautiful bay/beach. Short walk to restaurants and bars (low key). We had a beachfront villa- highly recommended. The villas are well equipped with a huge shower but are a bit tired around the edges (as it seems a lot of resorts are in Koh Kood).
The staff are excellent and very helpful. Breakfast has many choices from a buffet when the resort is busy and to a menu if less people- this is ideal as it stops food waste. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times for...

Room is very cute and tiny, plz don’t stay in the room! The environment of hotel is the best in kho kut. Hotel private beach is very clean and quiet,I also visited other beach but it was very crowded.
The staff are just like ur friends ,food is very good ,also like the cocktails there.

Stayed in the bungalows above the mangrove. There are also luxury bungalows in the grounds with AC.
A beautiful location with amazing gardens and located within a fascinating fishing village.
Great food and staff although there is also a small coffee shop nearby that has an English menu for food + tower ice creams.
Pity about the aggressive barking dogs, but they're everywhere in Thailand.

The sea view villas are very quiet and private, though the sea view is somewhat blocked by trees, and there is no sand so don't expect a beach view. Still a pretty setting beside the ocean, nice for relaxing. Minimalistic style rooms, well layed out and have everything you need. Excellent service, especially in the restaurant and the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend, especially for couples.

2-night stay there is a total relaxation. I asked for the room closest to the beach and when I got there it was not. After informing the staff of my booking request, they worked on it and changed room for me. Thank you for nice hospitality and good services.

Great stay at the Mercure, if you're looking for a relaxed, quiet and peaceful environment, this is your place. Rooms are large, bright and support clean. Staff is very welcoming, helpful and polite from the receptionists to the cleaners all the way to the parking attendant. There are two pools, we booked a room with terasse giving into a "private" mini pool going into a bigger pool. Extremely pleasant to have this literally at your door step. We are at the restaurant once only and food was...

Over the past decade we have stayed in dozens hotels and resorts in Thailand but this place stands out for cleanliness and how helpful and friendly every single staff member has been during our stay.
The pool and beach are being kept immaculately clean, there is free use of paddle boards and beach chairs and for a fee you can get a massage on the beach.
The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of Thai and western dishes and again was fantastically clean with the staff dealing with anything...

We recently had an excellent stay at Captain Hook Resort. Nestled in a secluded spot away from other hotels, it offers a peaceful, green, and idyllic atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Whether you're into kayaking, snorkelling, or simply enjoying the usual beach activities, this hotel provides the ideal setting. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the management is always on hand to ensure guests are well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and highly recommended!
