Booked as a pit stop en route down the country, so I didn't really explore properly, but the staff were extremely helpful & friendly & the room was great

The property is an older period style with modern decor which blends very well. Very nice and helpful staff and a great location for my requirements in the nearby area.

Lovely but dated
Lovely staff but sadly the rooms need updating however the bed was very comfy
This was the perfect spot to stay at the end of a long holiday. We had a beautiful suitte looking over the front gardens. Staff were very friendly and obliging. Restuarant and bar in the property. You need a car to go exploring, but only 5 minutes from Kendal.
Would definetely stay there again.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room presented very well with excellent views over the countryside.
Parking easy.
Breakfast cooked to order.
We stayed two nights and would stay again if in the area.
Beautiful grounds and location, the staff were friendly and service was excellent.
The room was beautiful. The evening meal in the restaurant wasn’t the best but the breakfast was superb. Plenty of continental options and cooked breakfast very tasty. Again, the staff the next morning were very friendly and helpful.
Amazing views, staff were absolutely incredible and made sure we had a great time. Gave us lots of information and guidance, food recommendations and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and we had everything we needed. Very well priced and the food and breakfast was in a world of its own. Absolutely will be back, it has become a new favourite to visit!
Lovely house with character. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Could be a bit cleaner in the rooms. We were the only ones dining in so slightly lacked atmosphere but staff had the right level of attentiveness. Breakfast nice and freshly cooked. Great wedding venue.
Very welcoming, lovely food spoilt slightly by a dead fly squashed on the room window, not in a position that could have been overlooked. Some areas of the room were a little shabby, but we still intend to stay there again.

Weather may have influenced my view!
A little bit dated and our room was next to the reception desk. Staff were lovely, Christmas decs were nice, but missing a little bit of something
We didn’t get to explore as the weather was dreadful
Pleasant stay for a business trip
Breakfast was only being served at 07.30am a little late for me however reception did say I would receive a credit note for the breakfast, as yet I have not been contacted about this.
We stayed for 2 nights. Needed a dog friendly hotel and this ticked all the boxes. The grounds are beautiful and extensive. Waking up to half a dozen deer on the lawn was lovely. The family room was fantastic, the bathroom was very clean and looked newly renovated. The food is as all the reviews state. We enjoyed every single meal. We are already looking at booking another stay.
Very good location as a stop over from Scotland. The hotel is really very nice, lovely grounds, nice bar and public rooms. Great breakfast. Our family room on the top floor was a bit stuffy, it could do with a proper air-con unit and the shower was a little tricky to get out of as you clamber over the bath rim. Very nice dinner too, although the steak was a little over-cooked.
The Villa was a nice, clean, decent hotel. Nice dinner, good choice of drinks, but quite an average breakfast. Very frustrating WiFi when you expect much better these days. Fortunate that hotels in Kendal aren’t particularly salubrious.
Nice hotel in a nice location. Staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Cleanliness is very good. My only complain was the bed was too soft for my liking, and they were a lot of pillows and cushions I had to move aside to use the bed, but otherwise no other complaints. Breakfast was very nice, and I had supper there too which was pretty good, with decent service pace.
