"We loved this hotel! The onsen is so beautiful, relaxing and clean. It has everything you would want for a great onsen experience. It is kid friendly and still quiet. The staff is very kind and helpful! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet all our days here and it had so many delicious options, Western and Japanese. The room was clean and spacious. Great location to get on the subway easily, yet you don’t hear it or notice in the day to day. I would definitely come back here! "

"Hotel was a lovely traditional style. Double room was large and well maintained. Private hotsprings were easy to book. Free drinks and snacks available throughout stay. Located next to JR Station on the line headed to arashiyama. Good stop over point. Nice to relax in the onsen after a long day's walk."

"I booked this hotel for the gym and the pool but its very misleading as you the leisure centre is separate and you have to pay each time to use it. The room was basic but clean and staff were helpful. It is 40 minute walk from main shops but you are right on top of shaiin metro so easy to get around."
