"The room was small but very nice, and the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location makes for an easy walk to the train station which made getting there with luggage much easier."

"It is a great boutique hotel next to Campo di Fiori. The staff is excellent - all of them - and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute in Rome. We would definitely stay there the next time we visit Rome. "
"The hotel was conveniently located for trains, auto bus and water transportation. It was clean and the staff were lovely. We arrived early and our room was ready, which was a bonus."
"Hotel Abbazia is a charming 50 rooms hotel. The entrance is located in a quiet alley. It's righr near the water bus station and Santa Lucia Train Station.
The hotel is nicely converted from a former monastery. It has a spacious, tastefully decorated lounge with a relaxing vibe. The courtyard garden is precious in Venice.
All the front desk people are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. I felt that the cook prepared it with great care. I especially loved various salad varieties!
I and my friends enjoyed our stay in Hotel Abbazia very much. We highly recommend it!"
"When we arrived on the train we decided to walk instead of taking the water bus. It was about a 22 min walk having to carry luggage up and down various small bridges and through narrow streets. My daughter and I are in shape so it wasn’t too bad. The hotel was walkable to popular sites. We used gps to navigate. We were close to Rialto Bridge and also not far from St.Marks Square.
The room was spacious and the hotel was safe. Be careful in the shower. The shower head was pointed right at the shower door and my daughter got the floor soaking wet. I found a way to turn it do that didn’t happen again.
Breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy but that was fine with us. There were eggs, chewy bacon, cereal, breads, and a little fruit. Don’t expect a full American style breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"It was a great location, staff were very helpful and friendly. The only thing I wish I knew ahead of time was that you are not allowed to eat in the room. Not a big deal and didn’t take away from my enjoyment. "
"The staff were very nice. The room had a great view and was in a quieter area. This hotel is in a great location with bakeries, restaurants and shops nearby. Would definitely recommend!"
"Stepping into this Venetian gem felt like opening the pages of a storybook. The staff greeted us with warmth and charm, and the housekeeping was so attentive it seemed like a sprinkle of magic kept everything spotless. Our room was a cozy retreat—bright, comfortable, and with a bathroom so lovely it felt like a private spa. The true star, though, was our canal view—waking up to gondolas gliding by was pure enchantment. Mornings were made extra special with the excellent breakfast buffet—so many delicious choices, the perfect way to kick off a day of Venetian adventures. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better: just minutes from all the sights, mouthwatering dining, and the heart of Venice’s romance. An absolute dream stay! "
