It was our home away from home.
Just a few blocks from a nice subway station and a very easy commute directly to One World Trade Center. Where you can go off in a dozen directions to see everything your heart desires.

I did not like the curtains because they are clear, and had a defective window and listened to the noise of the street. For the rest all very good.

This place was the worst place.. we stayed for 4 days and there were only 3 towels to use.. door handles broke only 1 roll of toilet paper.. hallway so duty... duty towel on balcony and on the the shower handle.

The key to the door-knob was worn-out and didn't work. The heavy Dead-Bolt worked fine. I found that I'd locked myself out at the end of a long day (10-PM). When I tried to call the office at that time no one answered, not until until the next day about 8-AM. A rep. met me the next morning and opened the door using his key. But the key they left me didn't work! He said, yeah we'll have to fix that.

When we arrived for check-in, the instructions provided did not work. We could not get in touch with anyone. We were literally left out on in the cold. We were able to get in when one of the other guests opened the entrance. You should also be aware that there's no rep from the property management at the location. Also, no house keeping or any other services are available.

Converted Apartment.
This is an odd setup somewhere between a hotel and an Air B&B. These are converted apartments. The check-in is automated, there is no one to meet you at the desk (and no desk for that matter). When you reserve, you are emailed a code to the front door and the room #. Once you open the door, ride the elevator up and the door to your room is unlocked. The room itself is ok, I noticed quite a few spots on the walls the bathroom door was badly damaged and the toilet paper dispenser was missing. That said, the room was clean, and it suited my overnight needs just fine. If someone was staying for a couple of days there is full kitchen

Most expensive disappointing hotel stay of my life. $266.24 of which $105.29 were fees and taxes. The "free parking" was a lie...no parking anywhere on any nearby, crowded, unsafe streets. No temporary spaces out front; my wife and I are both 57 and had to walk almost half a mile from an expensive parking garage with all our luggage. The "city views" was not NYC but west to the ugly industrial center of Newark. No lobby, no help, and rules required us to take out our own trash. I feel like a victim of false advertising and want my money back.

Great Building, Great Price, Not so Great Location
The place was perfectly clean, building was nice, communication was fantastic, but the location is sub-optimal with no food walking distance beyond a gas station. These are empty units in a residential building that have not yet been filled. Since it's a residential area there is zero parking or arrangements for parking. Even if you find a place to stash a car, the location is also very difficult to get in/out of when calling an uber or lyft because of the intersection it's on.

Hidden fees attached to room. Do not see until your stay is over and you pull up your credit report. Also, parking is no good

I would not recommend Caprice Suites. Booked for 1 week and here are some flaws 1. While Booking it states Free Parking Nearby - But actual No Parking anywhere you have to find out Street parking every day by your own. Even they not even reply on Email. 2. Not expect Cleaning everyday if you staying more than a day. 3. Below points mentioned after Booking not mentioned upfront * Please respect our NO SMOKING policy in units or on property. If violated, a penalty fee of $500 will be charged to you. * All waste must be removed from your apartment and placed in the trash room located on your floor * Be respectful of others - No noise or loud music after 10 PM is permitted according to the city's noise ordinance * We must be notified of any pets you bring during your stay. There is a non refundable pet fee for $500

BEWARE AND DO NOT BOOK HERE
They sent me emails representing that they had a 24 hour doorman and a parking structure. As a single woman travelling alone, these things are important to me. There was no doorman, no staff on site, and no parking structure. You have to park in the street several blocks away. The neighborhood is not the best. I parked several blocks away and dragged my suitcases to the building. The emails instructed me to get my key from the doorman. There was no doorman and I had no idea how to get into my room. An Indian man in the street told me to go upstairs and the door would be open. I went to my event that night and returned after midnight, parked several blocks away, only to find the building was locked and I had no way to get in because they never gave me the key code! Again, some Indian men came by and pressed the code to let me in the building.I called and complained and was told that the emails they sent had the information. It did not! The emails only contained the lies about 24 hour security and a parking structure. The actual apartment was clean, but the sofa was torn, there was only one light bulb above the sink and no stopper in the tub, so forget about taking a bath.

Scam - Beware!!!!!!
UBliss property management (Caprice Suites) is a scam. I reserved a 2 bedroom unit for 2 nights and received my confirmation email. As I was at the airport I received a very unprofessional email requesting a copy of my credit card and ID. The day I arrived for my stay Michael said my card did not go through and he gave away my room and now only had a studio available. Right away I contacted my credit card and they advised the payment processed (which I am still waiting for a refund). Apparently I spoke with the desk attendant and this "credit card declined routine'" happens on a daily basis. Caprice Suites advertises a 2 bedroom unit and then over books themselves or just flat out lies and offers travelers a studio. I spent 3 hours of my vacation trying to find a hotel and was unsuccessful having to hotel hop. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. I hope Expedia follows up on my complaint and stops advertising for this property.

Huge DIsappointment - Did not stay
We didn't stay. It was unacceptable. Promised 2 bedroom luxury suite and it was a1 bedroom with a torn sofa and no management on site. No parking available. Not a hotel. Had to fight for a refund and they asked us by phone to make do for a night and they'd give us a discount. 4 people in a 1-bedroom apartment in a sketchy neighborhood. No check-in desk, no employees, just a voice on the phone. Haven't received my discount yet. Still hoping and waiting.

Very bad experience unfortunately. First - the original booking got messed up - as room we booked for was not available ( logistical issue no real fault of property). Hence we got 2 separate rooms in a different location.This part was co ordinated well - but the problem started after that 1) We did not have enough bed materials - we called property as well as hotels.com. We were told they will come in 10 minutes. No one showed up 2) Bed bugs in the existing bed materials.

Unusual system. Arrived very late. There is no employee to greet you. When you call the number, they don't identify the property name and question you about your name before divulging the property. This is not good service. My room was left with the door opened and my room key on the coffee table in the living room. There was a torn piece of paper on a mail box on the 6th floor with a handwritten note telling me my door was open and the key was on the coffee table. This is very unusual. I also received an email the day before my arrival with the entry code for the main door since there are no employees actually at the building. However. Despite these negatives, once I was situated in the room/apartment, my wife and I found it very comfortable and liked the convenience of having a functioning kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, etc. The 7-11 across the street helped with some basic items. We went to Wal-Mart for other grocery items (15 min drive). One problem is parking. We could not locate a parking facility after walking and driving around. I ended up making a private agreement with the owner of the 7-11 across the street so I could park there. Using the PATH train into the city was very convenient once we learned the system.

We were very satisfied with the apartment it was clean nor a lot of seating area for a family. We sat around the coffee table to eat our dinner and no parking was tough.

Check-in process is faulty, due to misinformation and lack of information. My pre-check-in emails stated there would be a 24-hour doorman, who would tell me how to get to a nearby parking structure. Guess what? No doorman. No structure. I was given a code to enter the building but no instructions on which buttons to press before or after code. After numerous attempts, I called the phone number I had. He was condescending and had no idea why I would think there was a doorman or parking structure. The pre-check-in email also stated that I'd find the keys in a lockbox inside the lobby. No keys in lockbox. Placed another phone call. He sounded irritated and told me keys were in the unlocked apartment waiting on the counter. Great. Except I wasn't informed which apartment or what floor. Call me a sissy, but I don't like walking into an unlocked apartment in any city. What choice did I have? I walked in and the television was on. I proceeded to check all closets, balcony, etc. Unsettling to say the least. The place was advertised to have great views of NY City. Again, nope. It's the Newark Airport and NJ freeways you'll be seeing. The place itself is quite new at a decent price. If you can get past the horrible customer service and total lack of concern for your stay, this place is great.

Worst experience in our last 20 years travel.
Stay away from Caprice Suite. They advertise it as "Luxury Apartment Suite" and we booked for 3 nights, but after the first night, we had to move out and find a real suite hotel. We are now fighting with them to try to get our money back. I will put our terrible experience with Caprice Suite in detail later and update the reviewers. Please be aware that they may use difference names to hook you up. You can test it out if you call them and they first may answer you with a difference name, but not Caprice Suite. Fantastic stay for family
Loved the hotel the cleanliness of the building as a whole, okay location on main boulevard not a major issue. Provided much more than expected full kitchen, dishes, utensils, microwave, blender, oven, coffeemaker, full size fridge, even Tupperware! Only downside was lack of instruction when checking in as this is a building not a doorman/security check in facility.

Pire expérience!!! Premièrement ce n'est pas un hôtel, donc pas de lobby et aucuns services. J'ai loué cette place avec cuisine pour économiser sur les restaurants mais la cuisine était pratiquement vide (pas de cuillère, pas de bol, manque de verre, pas d'ouvre boite, 1 chaudron et 1 poêle TRÈS usé...) donc impossible de cuisiner ni même manger. Manque de serviette de bain, chaise brisé, aucuns cintres et divan très inconfortable. Par chance, j'avais des couvertures et une oreiller pour mon fils car rien n’était fournis avec le divan lit malgré que ma réservation était pour 5 personnes. Le pire de tout cette expérience reste le service, j'ai contacté le responsable, il ne pouvait pas emmener de draps et d'oreillers vu qu'il était 19h, mais il devait tout emmener le lendemain. Le lendemain nous avons rien reçu alors j'ai contacté Hotel.com, ils ont contacté le responsable qui confirme qu'il allait venir déposer les équipements. Moi et ma famille avons gâché nos vacances car personne n'est venu porter tout ce qu'il nous manquait. Le lendemain pm, la literie a été laissé devant la porte sans même que quelqu'un cogne pour nous avertir. Hotel.com me propose donc une carte de 25$ de rabais pour toute cette mésaventure et me dit de faire une requête sur leur site malgré que j'était sur la ligne avec eux depuis déjà des heures!!!! Quelle déception.

À notre arrivée, il y avait une fille qui dormait dans l'appartement. Le 'self check-in' est un système défaillant. Lorsque confrontés, la gérance nous offre 10 % de rabais sur la prochaine réservation. Tirez-en vos conclusions... Connections câble et internet impossibles.
