My initial impression was dubious but on entering the building I was amazed at the beautiful and unique layout of the property. Although my bedroom (#4) was rather small, I was impressed by the high quality of the decorations. The shower facility was of a high standard. The rooftop terrace has been refurbished into a “chill out” area giving wonderful 360 degree views of the surroundings including a view of the distant castle. Hostal Lojo is a 10 minute walk away from the beaches but ideal for the tapas bars and restaurants. The Hostal is very traditional and offers comfortable but basic facilities over 3 floors. The room, bathroom and bedding are clean and are more than adequate but lacks the finesse that you might find in much more expensive hotels. Showers are strong with plenty of hot water. Beds are comfortable and the room was nice and quiet providing a good nights sleep. Breakfast is included in the bar area...
