Warm welcome, confortable bed, parking, friendly bar downstairs, food/restaurant nearby. Sadly it was a bit difficult to find - it is in Kintore - not Inverurie (and the phone number on the confirmation lacked an Area Code). Fortunately there were still people about in Inverurie to help with directions - but you could be in difficulty if you arrive later at night.
my room was at the top of the stairs and probably not good if your not very fit however the rooms are very comfortable, clean and have everything that you would need. The wifi was very poor as i was at the top of the building, it is to be expected.

Not a pleasant experience
This is not a hotel. It is six rooms above a bar. They do not do breakfast or food of any kind although there is tea and coffee in the rooms. They told us there was a nice place round the corner for breakfast which was fine on day one but it did not open till noon the next day. Bathroom was not very clean and despite putting the label on our door saying ‘please clean our rooom’ no-one came near it to make the bed, empty the bins, clean the bathroom etc. Am establishment to be avoided.
It was unclear where to check in as the hotel is at the rear and the check in is actully in the adjacent very male bar. I was then shown to the room. The door to the hotel was unlocked despite a key - i think the other inhabitents of the htoel did not know it was not self locking. As a lone female traveller I found this disconcerting. The room was on the first floor the fire escape was through a door which had a glass panel that was clear. I had to sleep with a blanket puchsed against it. The hotel does not serve food and i was told that there were loads of takeaways near by that I could take back to my room. I find this most unsavoury. I drove to a nearby town. The wifi was not usuable as too slow for my needs . The room itself is well appointed
