We had the most incredible stay at Mont Rochelle! We were staying for our honeymoon and it was our first stay in our 2 week trip and now that the 2 weeks is up I can confidently say that we stayed in 4 5* hotels during our stay in Cape Town and Mont Rochelle was by far the best, a league above the rest. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite for our honeymoon, the most beautiful room with the most incredible view of the mountains and surrounding landscape. The amenities and views with this...

Genuinely an amazing boutique hotel. You are looked after so well by Declan and the team.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a petite garden suite. We did have some maintenance problems with the room. On arrival, the plug in the second wash basin would not stay down so we asked for it to be fixed. When we came back later, the maintenance man had just swapped them over on the two sinks so now the other sink would not hold water! We were tired & went to bed at 9.45 pm. At 10pm the upper floor guests came home and switched something on that caused a loud rumbling noise in our room.By...

The hotel had only been open for 5 weeks when we stayed, but we were very impressed with the operation and the facilities available. Very large bed was really comfortable, aircon worked well and the balcony opening out on to a young vineyard was a lovely extra touch. Breakfast on both mornings was great, with lots of options including hot dishes. The gym was well-appointed (by hotel standards), and the sauna was a lovely touch of relaxation during our stay. The stay felt like good value for...

Great location and rooms. Fantastic pool for an afternoon cool off and sunbath after wine tasting. Note there isn’t access to a gym like the hotel info says. Staff didn’t know about a gym and said use a local one.

Very welcoming hotel with great staff who are very helpful and friendly

We have a lovely stay. Beautiful garden, fantastic breakfast and service. Ideally located off the Main Street. We would highly recommend

Big room with many thoughtful features and a great breakfast. The hotel has two pools (one heated) and a fabulous onsite restaurant (fine dining quality). We made use of the free shuttle to ferry us to the wine tram.

Very warm welcome from the caring and attentive staff to what is a charming colonial-style boutique hotel just 200m away from the Franschhoek high street. Lovely room with our own roof-top hot tub and a huge comfortable bed. Excellent breakfasts were cooked to order, and we sat overlooking the stunning lavender-filled garden.

This is the third time I have stayed in this establishment and would stay over and over again. The ambience of the place, the character, the cleanliness, the amenities, the location, the whole experience was and always has been, consistently exceptional. Special mention for the staff members , Billy and Lovemore, whom not only were most attentive at all times but actually remembered me from my last visit which was in 2019!A lovely stay and cannot wait to return!

We had the best stay at Avondrood. The location was great to easily walk along the main road in the town with all the restaurants and shops etc. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms spacious and luxurious but what really stood out was the staff. Not only were they just lovely individuals, they couldn't do enough to recommend places to eat, vineyards to drink at and ensured that we had the most amazing stay. Don't hesitate to book Avondrood.

Absolutely loved our villa Clean comfortable and stylish you could not want more from a stay will definitely stay again , in fact just about to book .

Very nice room good breakfast staff very good. Would recommend it.

What an absolute treat! Loved every moment of our stay with a warm welcome and a chat every morning, a treat at bedtime and possibly the friendliest, most helpful staff. Pure South African magic!

We stayed at the Villa at Auberge Clermont for 6 days. The villa is great - French country farmhouse style. Very comfy beds, large bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher fridge and freezer. There is maid service everyday. The verandah is perfect for sitting out in the evenings, and the pool is great. Very peaceful and trainquil. Well run by the staff and owners and perfectly placed a short distance from the centre of Franschhoek.

Fantastic place to stay
