My stay here was extremely pleasant. My room was comfortable, spacious and kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was super - my choice was usually juice, coffee (good coffee!), fresh bread with homemade jams and eggs in various ways. The owners and all the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Great location in the middle of Stellenbosch. Friendly staff - especially impressed with concierge/security team. Lovely corner room but would have benefitted from second glazing also on side window as a fair bit of traffic/street noise. Also, would have been good to have internal phone numbers listed for when you want to get hold of reception/restaurant etc. Will stay again

A fabulous find. I had just had my hip replaced and the staff could not have been more helpful in my recuperation. The garden is beautiful and breakfast outside is tranquil and sublime. I will be back and thank you all again.

Amazing hotel and staff

We had the best stay at Avondrood. The location was great to easily walk along the main road in the town with all the restaurants and shops etc. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms spacious and luxurious but what really stood out was the staff. Not only were they just lovely individuals, they couldn't do enough to recommend places to eat, vineyards to drink at and ensured that we had the most amazing stay. Don't hesitate to book Avondrood.

The best place to stay in Franschhoek! Cottages were perfect to spend the day relaxing or come home to after a day the vineyards. Staff were also extremely helpful.

Rooms are all so spacious and clean including bathrooms. Flat is so so spacious and beautiful. Easy walk to franschoek and easy to get to stores. Comms fantastic from Marlicia. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend to others!
