"So laid back and not packed - it was just right"

"The location was terrific and so was the staff and view. We overlooked the grassy area and could easily see the beach and ocean. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The condo itself could use a little facelift. The carpet in the living room is tired and is not stretched appropriately and bunches right down the center. The chairs around the table are not very comfortable on the back. We totally enjoyed staying there after that being said."

"Beautiful place! Beautiful view (ocean side). Be aware that "partial view" of the ocean is pretty partial as buildings are between you and the beach, but you have a nice pie slice of ocean and a great view of sunsets over Molokai. Grounds are lovely and the pool is clean. Island Vibes Cafe next door is a treasure. Enjoy your visit!"

"Place was clean, check in instructions clear. The only exception was that the sliding door could not be locked, so from a safety aspect this was unsettling."

"The Kapalua Bay Villas are located on the cliffs above Kapalua Bay. The Villa we were in had a large grass area in front of us, then the cliffs, ocean, etc. Yremendiously beautiful setting. Sitting on the patio and listening to the wind and waves is incredibly tranquil... It is truly a multimillion dollar view. While I give 5 stars, mostly for the location, as the actual condo is starting to get a bit run down. The walls need paint and some repairs. The counter grout is chipping out of the seams. Floor tiles are cracked. The couch is very worn and quite uncomfortable. The bed is very mushy. My back hurt the entire time I stayed there. The condo door sticks shut, and requires a serious slamming to align the deadbolt for security. The condo, while it looked decently cleaned, had many dead and some alive gnats. Would I rent this condo again... Not unless they changed out the couch and bed... Yeah, they were bad. On the positive side, the grounds are beautiful, and the pools have been recently refurbished, or are in the process of being refurbished. The proximity to hiking trails and the beach are huge positives. Overall, I still give the Villas 5 stars, but that's for the location... If just for the condo, the degree of "disrepair" would only rank 4 stars... Overall, a 4.5 star experience."
