Was there to meet friends on one of the Sydney to Hobart yachts.....unbeknownst to me on booking this was a real yachties haunt! Loved the atmosphere, loved restaurant and bar, my booked accommodation way better than imagined whole week stay exceeded expectations! Would definitely stay again.

Character filled building with lots of original features and a great location in Battery Point. The atmosphere with the crews arriving after the Sydney to Hobart was a lot of fun.. it is a pub so don’t expect it to be quiet all the time.

I love the Shipwrights Arms. It is a fine hotel with a great sense of history. Battery Point is beautiful and you are right in the middle of this lovely place!

More or less everything you need in a good area

Although you don't expect too much from "pub" accommodation, the check-in was rather dry and lacking warmth (and we had to hunt around for someone to serve us). Past that, the room was clean, secure, comfortable, easy parking and in walking distance to the Salamanca and Battery Point sights. I'd happily re-book again.

A lovely, authentic pub

Absolutely loved staying at the Shipwright's Arms. A really characterful and charming place. The staff and service were great, as was the vibe in the pub downstairs. A perfect jumping-off point for exploring all that Hobart's amazing old town has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

I really enjoyed the wonderful waterviews while sitting in the sunroom having complimentary breakfast. The location was a bit noisy on the weekend because of the adjacent bar and restaurant. The food in the restaurant is fantastic!
