We arrived for our stay in Hobart and waited until 2pm for check in. When we got to Hobart Apartments, there was nobody in reception, so i rang the number on the door. I was then informed that the room was leaking and unavailable for us to stay in and that we should have been informed of this 2 weeks prior but never were. We were basically left stranded with an 8wk old baby and nowhere to stay and when i told them that all she said was "google somewhere else". Very poor service from Hobart Apartments and we were very lucky that we found a different place to stay at such short notice.

Old fashioned comfort.
Terrific stay, lovely big old fashioned apartment, perfectly clean, full kitchen, big bath and friendly owner. Beds were super comfy, not too soft. We will always stay here now when visiting Hobart.

property was substandard . unclean at check in . no fire evac plan and probably not up to code ,thouroughly disgusted walked away and found accommodation elsewhwere would not recommend this property
My first impression of this property was to run, first thing you saw when you drive into the car park was the over flowing dumpster then you walked into reception area to be greater by a old smell , then no one at reception had to phone emergency number, then did not have my booking, she did find it and gave us aground floor unit, which was a good size bathroom was new and kitchen was nice, but the door lock needs attention even when you put the dead bolt lock on with the wind you think someone is breaking in we had to put a door wedge under door, it only helped a little, it had 70’s wall paper with the rose border, plastic flowers in a vase on the table, paint looked new though. After spending 5 days there it had negatives and positives not as bad as my first impression of thrr Ed pls e
Fair prices. Property needs maitenance, couchions need washing. Toilet sit isn't comfortable. Curtains are ripped. If they do maitenance repairs and invest into upgrading we will come back.
Great having decent lichen with full sized fridge and stove. Made feeding the family much cheaper than having to eat out all the time. Separate bedrooms and lounge room to give all of us space and privacy was lovely. Late checkin was definitely a big plus as well. Will be staying here again whenever we need to go to Hobart.
Don’t ever want to go back to staying in hotels with single open plan room and only a kettle!
****DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING THERE - IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! *****
This site was advertised as inner city apartment when its asbout 10 minute drive out of hobart.
We checked in for 3 nights and checked out after 2.
The kitchen was dirty when we checked in and WE washed all the dishes and cleaned up. When i woke up the first mirning the kitchen sink and bench was soaking and also water on the floor. Me being a sucker i dried it all up.
We went out later that morning and returned around 10pm only to find the carpet in the hall wet.
We went into the bathroom and the floor and stuff on the bathroom vanity were all soaking. It took us a few minutes before we realised that the water was coming from a crack in the ceiling.
On walking into the 2nd bedroom we noticed that one of the drapes was soaking wet. This water went down to the carpet on the floor where the wall heater was plugged into an extension cord on the floor. Needless to say we unplugged it and remained cold all night.
I sent some feed back to the place on their website.
The next morming we packed up to check out.
I spoke to the woman in the reception who also resided there and identified herself as the manager. She said i was unreasonable in expecting to get a refund. Claims i should have contacted her the previous night and she wouod have moved us into another room (despite the sign out the front saying no vacancy). Said she couldnt make a decision on a refund. Told her expedia will contact her.

The property was of the ain high way that was noisy, but the owner of the hotel was lovely and very accomodating.
The apartment was quite dated. The exhaust fan in the kitchen did not go anywhere so the whole apartment smelled like the dinner we cooked. The mattresses were very soft so we woke up each morning with sore backs. The apartment was quite a good size with 1 queen and 3 single beds. It is only 10 minutes drive from the City in busy traffic which is not really very busy compared to Melbourne. Overall it was OK value for money. If they just put in a new mattress on the queen bed I would definitely stay there again. Could also do with a TV in the master bedroom.
Heat pump did not heat the room, wallpaper torn off walls and on a major road undergoing night road work. You get what you pay for. I will never stay in cheap accommodation again.
Nice budgeted place to stay. Old building but modernised inside rooms.

Apartments that could do with a good general tidy
We were not aware that we had to climb three lots of stairs. Balcony looked too unsafe to take advantage of. We were not told of escape in the event of fire. Very roomy apartment, clean but very tied.. In need of update.
Close to Hobart, big television, comfy beds and nice linen. A bit noisy at times with other guests coming and going but overall a great place for a good price. The managers are extremely friendly and available.

A bit disappointed with the place. Old and didn't trust the cleanliness.
Friendly staff though.
The hotel was in a stage of renovation. When we arrived they were painting the room next door with paint tray outside our door in hallway. The paint smell was soo strong it was unpleasant and gave us headaches. You can tell our room had been renovated but the quality of work was very poor with bad paintwork, new wall paper peeling off vinyl lifting off in bathroom, etc.Cleanliness was poor with dust on surfaces and hair in the bath drain! The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean, although my bath towel did have stains on it. The bath was installed in the incorrect position. The shower head was over the sloping side where you lie against rather than over the drain.
The hotel is old and daggy looking even with the renovations. As you pull up, you see a grey drab building that is not appealing from the outside. I did not feel comfortable staying there. The cost is too high for the condition of the place.
The Asian lady owner/manager was very friendly and helpful. Hotel located on main highway. Our room was at the back so didn't noticed the traffic noise.

Very roomy apartment, great kitchen
Apartment was very roomy. The kitchen had great cooking facilities and the availability of a laundry was great.
Very old and not clean. Bathroom smelt like the sewer and was not clean at all.
It wouldn't take much to tidy this place up and for it to be clean, there is absolutely nothing to recommend about these apartments. And for the price $189/night for 2 adults and 1 child, appalling!!!
