Bellerive’s old quarter on the eastern shores of the Derwent River is the perfect place to experience some of Hobart’s maritime history.

The seafaring connections run deep in this scenic little spot, where 19th-century forts once stood sentry over the fledgling city. Stroll around a pretty jumble of heritage buildings and façades or check out the yachts moored in the modern marina. Find the perfect Hobart photo with Bellerive’s river, city and mountain views. Sports fans, listen up: Bellerive is Hobart’s premier destination for footy and cricket.

Very easy check in. Great location. Only problem was the carpark is too tight, we had to leave the vehicle on the road, bad scratch and dent we assumed from the rubbish truck.

Great location but that’s where it ended. 3 night stay asked for room clean and was told I had to be there 4 days for that. One lift dead and others slow and came up with faulty message on screen often. Water pressure was drip feed level.
