"The hotel is total improvised. It is never explained anywhere when you book your reservation that the hotel is divided in 2 buildings that are not together you have to walk 2 blocks and climb 57 stairs to have breakfast, the hotel is in a steep hill so side walks are stairs, 57 stairs to go from your room to the building that has the restaurant. We didn’t had hot water in the shower, you hat to tell them you wanted warm water in the shower so they turn on the eater heater, so two days we arrived pretty late from a tour and never had hot water in the shower, we had to shower with ice cold water, we got sick. The hotel gave silly excuses, or offered at 11 pm a room change in the second building, so that meant carry luggage 57 stairs and s steep hill, because cars cannot reach the second building. We spoke with the manager next day, “ I am sorry, we offered a room change in the middle of the night and you didn’t accept it” of course not! I was not going to make my little daughter, family, elderly mom, climb a hill with luggage in the middle of the night. Terrible!!! Yes staff are pretty nice but solve nothing. "

"The location of this hotel is great. Close to the Galata Tower and the nice street where the tasty Turkish version of the originally Spanish Basque Cheesecake is sold. The room was clean and stuff were friendly. Breakfast buffet is not the biggest but the food is tasty. Plus point for the free water. "

Highly Recommend at The Marmara Hotel in TAKSIM District in Istanbul (5 stars hotel). The BREAKFAST - bounty array of fresh dishes, and made to order stations that cater to every craving; premium quality of food, bread, fruits and drinks, simply unbeatable price! The LOUNGE ACCESS is a magnificent view to landmarks with affordable value for all they provide- the curated drink menu and gourmet small plates not to mention the artisan pastries, made me feel like VIP! The SPA & The POOL The Starbucks next door. We were ASTONISHED by all the beauty of the hotel (better than Central Park’s NY hotels). The videos & website’s hotel cannot capture the magnificent views, the superb hospitality all the staff who provided a royal treatment in a sophisticated atmosphere! "Everything was great with very professional staff! The only remark: In my room the matelas was too soft. In America the quality of the matelas is very important to get a good sleep over night. I try to changed the room, but the maid she say to me they are all the same! "
