"Hotel currently going through refurbishment in different areas. Got an excellent deal with B&B so needed hotel for Sat night in area so grabbed. Stated a Club room which was small but cozy. New refurbed but can see has been done cheaply. Existing damaged ensuite door, old bath with new panels just fitted.. if your gonna refurb, do it properly as looks poor. Pool OK but tub was like a washing machine, needed some de-foamer.. Breakfast was OK, box standard. 1 issue we had was disrespect of neighbouring rooms blasting TV in their rooms, finally had to complain to reception after midnight as was a joke. Would I return, yeah at a cheap deal."

"We had a late arrival 1am after our flight in to Liverpool. Two guys on reception with the warmest welcome you could wish for. The room was small but ok. It had a sofa bed in it that the hotel had made ready even though I rang to say we only need the double bed not the sofa too. This took up so much of the space it was cramped even for just two people how you would expect more people to be comfortable is beyond the imagination. Breakfast staff were pleasant though the breakfast wasn’t up to much. Hard rubber eggs well done bacon cold mushrooms. The lady on reception when we checked out was very pleasant. "

"Positives - Rooms good size, swimming pool and gym, Starbucks on site, plenty of parking Negatives - Hotel food including breakfast cold and undercooked. Charged £12.50 for breakfast for a toddler. Rooms not fully cleaned full of dead moths. Moths flying around everywhere. Staff not helpful."

"So we was greeted to a stunning entrance, polite reception staff too. Was a let down once we went to our room. The bed was quite hard, the walls are paper thin, the sink in the bathroom was cracked, the toilet seat lid kept falling down and hurt my little girls back. The bath had hairs of all kinds in, which left me to believe it hadn't even been rinsed off let alone cleaned. The bath didn't have a plug in so couldn't bath my little ones. It says when booking breakfast is served from 7, we went downstairs and there was no breakfast. Then was told half 7 by the receptionist and by another person I was told 8am. We needed to be out by 8 for a dance competition. So we had to find breakfast elsewhere. Won't personally stay here again."

"Parking is easy, free, small and simple. The hotel is basic but does the job, decor within the rooms is a little tired/would benefit from a freshen up (front doorbell and lock broken, a loose wall light etc) and cleanliness was satisfactory but not the highest standard. Simple tea and coffee in the room, nice fresh towels and staff are extremely helpful & accommodating. Our original room's tv was faulty- staff were quick to respond to issue and when it couldn't be repaired we we're upgraded to a slightly larger room swiftly at no extra cost. Simple breakfast options of toast, cereal, tea and coffee and fruit juice available in the morning included in the price of the room. It's a friendly no frills hotel, does the job, we will use again "

"Room was very dated, there had obviously been a leak from the ceiling above and they hadn’t bothered to change the wall light lamp shade as it had big water marks. Pedal bin was broken and not sure if the extractor fan was running to full capacity in the bathroom. Didnt get the chance to eat in the restaurant or use the leisure centre. Plenty of parking which was good. Hotel was nice and quiet. Staff were functional but not particularly welcoming, no welcome on arrival and no how was your stay when we checked out. Room was tired and needs a makeover to bring up to modern standards"
