Top Great Lakes Hotel Reviews

Congress Plaza Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing"

Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites
4/10 Poor
"Room was not very clean, was not convinced a proper cleaning was done. Sheets had hair all over.
Property could be better if the cleanliness was more of a priority."

Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites
6/10 Okay
"Parking was offsite and open lot (need to take shuttle to/from)and we asked about security of our vehicle so far from the hotel, didnt seem like a good decision to leave our car safely there. Also wanted to use the pool. Yes, the hotel was booked. However some guests were extremely boisterous, rowdy, jumping, body diving in the pool and splashing other guests. Swimmers as a group deliberately taking over the pool, you cant swim or even get some space. Hot tub overflowing no room, the attendant did nothing to mitigate, young person, language was an issue when we asked. We did call to report at front desk, they advised they would tell the manager. Elevator to pool levels out of service, hard to take stairs that are wet and slippery. Nothing not even at checkout was even told to us as a courtesy. Would have appreciated a gesture and acknowledgement of our issue at best. Not a nice way to spend an anniversary. Late night noise and hallway light visible and heard through our door. Overall it was not as we had expected from a Hilton hotel."

Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls
8/10 Good
"We went to this hotel at 1pm to register early until our room was ready at 4pm. Check-in was quick and efficient. Room looked totally different than the images on their website. This is an older hotel with blue walls and light brown decor and the jacuzzi was in the bathroom not in the actual room unlike the image shown on their website/Expedia. Although dated, we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. Surprisingly, no microwave, no coffee machine, just a fridge, alarm clock, a bottle of lotion and 1 facial soap is all you get. Parking is additional $50/night. We never used the pool or gym. Peeking into the window, no dumbbells. Another hotel we stayed at also had none, shocker. No restaurant in this hotel, but Applebee's, STK, Starbucks and many others closeby. Our sink had no cold water, just scalding hot. Had to brush teeth and wash face in jacuzzi tub. Told Assistant Manager who comped us for the $25 extra hour we purchased to stay past checkout time. The view was incredible, we had a corner King jacuzzi suite. Costed $310CAD for a night before parking. Cleanliness and no smells are key for us, so we appreciated that they didn't use deodorizers like some hotels do. The TV is very small and there was Netflix accessibility. Bed was comfortable except they do triple sheeting, plus a bottom sheet that didn't fit the bed that kept coming up, so you end up laying on the bed protector. I would stay here again if the room rate was under $220."
