"We had no hot water in the shower. Plenty from the tap but the shower valve was bad. Rooms are okay condition but not 5 star. Bedding was very good. Staff are fantastic. I told the checkout person about the lack of hot water and only got a "sorry". I expected a token of redress for it. Previous visit was similar but TV remote did not work nor did the using your iPhone as a remote option. Little things maybe, but there are lots of other options available that get these things right."

"Unfortunately it wasn’t a pleasant stay as there was a banging noise that kept me awake the entire night. It sounded like someone knocking at the window (impossible) but with the construction that was taking place on the floor I was on perhaps there was a loose cable or something on the exterior of the building that the wind was catching. I left exhausted unfortunately and did advise the desk in hopes they fix it so the next guest has a better stay."

"my first room smelled like sewer so I complain and I was moved into another room. I was told that they was having a problem with backed up so or something. I’m not really sure, but I was moved to another room the second room that I was moved to. I had a problem because of the bed was sinking in only on one side and that was both beds so I had to sleep and in the middle of the bed so overall yeah, must say I would have to give them 2 stars and I would definitely would book to stay at this hotel replace the mattress so I did not sleep good at and will be reaching out corporate"

"Not much staff was apparent on the main floor throughout my stay. My initial encounter at check-in was with an unhelpful person but most of the staff was excellent. Instructions for the in-room coffee machine were not provided and I wasted the only coffee trying to work it. Walls were thin and adjacent guests noisy. But room was attractive and it had a bathtub, a lovely perk."

"Overall my stay at TDVH was enjoyable. I found it very clean, staff very helpful. The Bistro on the main floor had very good food and the Bar Tender did an excellent job. Would recommend. "
