"Great location with so much history on the doorstep, or a short walk away, with a 12century gatehouse a few yards away, which the pub gets it's name from. "Great location by the Cathedral. The rooms are very well appointed and although the building is over 200 years old, the facilities are very modern and convenient. "We like the older part of the hotel and were lucky enough to be in a room in it this time. The new block are also very good but conventional.
