"Our stay at the Watergate was excellent! My wife and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary this year and our original plans fell through. Thanks to Virgin Voyages changing our itinerary to Freezing cold St John's Canada instead of Bermuda. So, we opted to cancel and visit one of our favorite cities, Washington DC. The hotel is situated right outside beautiful Georgetown. I opted to get us an upgraded suite and we were not disappointed. We had a beautiful view of the River and got the see the planes go by consistently. When our doors were closed you wouldn't even know they were flying by over the Kennedy Center right next door. For a last minute change of plans this hotel really came through. There was enough vintage mixed with modern and the staff was extremely attentive. It was a very old school feel for customer service. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We like to visit DC at least once every presidential term and we now know exactly where we are staying EVERY time. "

"First time traveling to Washington with my family and staying in this hotel. When I checked in, the female employee's unkindness and discrimination made my experience in Washington worse. I asked for a parking lot, and she replied very unkindly that there was no parking. Then she asked me to tell her where to park my car because I parked it in front of the hotel, but she answered very unkindly and curtly. Then when Mae parked her car in the hotel parking space again, she answered us with very unkind words and actions, saying, "Why did you park there, check-in first, put your car in." My experience in Washington was the worst. She didn't have a hotel.."

"Overall will recommend to others, just a few points to mention. No stationary or pens in the room, no complimentary water daily, no Bible in the room, ice machine was broken on our floor, towels were hard and nubbly, cafe and gift shop over priced and pillows too soft. Bar food delicious, staff helpful, airport shuttle helpful, clean and good location to public transportation. AC was good. "

"We enjoyed our stay. Great location! We were able to walk from hotel to several key spots. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was immaculate with comfy bed. It was definitely a micro hotel with small room, but do/able. Nice shower. Price reasonable for this time of year and location "

"Room itself was fine but the staff and overall experience was awful. Upon arrival we were told our car ‘would not fit’ in the car park. The receptionist did not offer an alternative parking locating so we ended up driving around central DC looking for overnight public parking. Furthermore, I had to upload my passport and personal details to an online portal in order to check in. This was a time consuming and cumbersome process and leaves the actual receptionist utterly redundant, as I had to do the entire process myself on my phone. Awful service, genuinely felt like they had no interest in repeat custom. "
