The decor is wonderfully relaxing – clean, practical and full of lovely touches. There are plenty of amenities and the staff are really welcoming. It’s in a brilliant spot right by the Plage Vieux in Biarritz.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely small boutique hotel. The location is perfect — just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and only minutes away from excellent restaurants, shops and a grocery store. Despite being so conveniently located, the hotel offers a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquillity. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. On the day of my arrival, I found a lovely welcome card waiting for me in the kitchen, together...

Beautiful hotel & amazing staff, my partner and I got engaged on the trip and they went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay

Fantastic hotel in a lovely quiet area, near to beach, town, restaurants etc.The hosts were out of this world, very friendly, helpful all you could ask for.Great breakfast choice, free towels to borrow for the beach.Go for yourselves to find out.

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff.

What a magical find. Love the hotel and its proximity to the beach and the restaurants. Staff were very polite and helpful. Don’t usually go for hotel breakfast but this was the exception. Had a small double room away from sea which I now wish I’d paid the extra for. SJDL is a beautiful place and this hotel is the right place to enjoy it from.

A great hotel 1 minute away from the hustle & bustle. Balcony room was large & immaculate & staff were friendly & helpful. If you are driving be warned - parking is a nightmare. If you find a space leave the car there until you are ready to leave ! 24 hour parking is available 5 minutes away at a cost.

Host Denis is superb. Breakfast is a joy. More like a chambre d'hote with Denis on hand helpful as ever.

The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

The hotel has been created out of an old school and it’s lovely to see it given a new life. We liked having breakfast in the garden (which used to be the playground) and having a walk down to the fantastic beaches and cafes of Guethary. We had a room on the second floor and it was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also big and very clean- but I prefer a separate shower. The breakfast was lovely quality and very relaxed, we liked the long tables to share with...

Gorgeous hotel on the waterfront - the most impressive in Saint Jean de Luz, with a nice (simple) spa. The staff are the highlight - effortlessly efficient & totally capable - from the (handsome) door men to the amazing receptionist, capable maids & talented masseuse. The whole hotel was immaculately presented, including the room. My only disappointment was that the room was far too hot without the window open, and much too noisy with it open. So I didn’t sleep as well as I could have. This was...

To stay at this hotel is to experience gracious living and elegance at its very best. We started coming here three years ago.to celebrate our wedding anniversary and now make a point of coming back each year. The hotel remembers each year the reason for our stay without reminding and go out of their way to make our celebration special. It is little touches like this that make the Palais the very special hotel that it is. Apart from the hotel, Biarritz is a very special place to visit. It should...

Great location just in the heart of the city all the shops, restaurants and the beach are 2 minutes away. The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but everything is clean and well maintained. It also has all basic equipment in the rooms with coffee machine, kettle and a small fridge. The bed was very comfortable! The reception is not 24/7, so make sure you are aligned with the staff on the details of your check in

A return visit to Biarritz to take in some sea air! The hotel was situated right above the beach, but also two minutes from the main shopping street. We had paid extra for a balcony, but unfortunately it was rather too windy during our visit for us to take much advantage of it! Enjoyed a meal in the hotel's restaurant on our second night and a nightcap in the hotel bar.
