The evening meal was top class. The food was probably the best we’ve eaten in our tour of New England. The service was excellent and we were not rushed…a remarkably rare thing when eating out in America.
The room was lovely and cosy. We found nothing to fault at all

Room clean and smart. In-house dining options limited to an all you can eat buffet for $35, and local options a car ride away. Felt a little expensive considering no breakfast provided. Only there one night so by time had been out for a meal no opportunity to take advantage of the pool.

We only stayed one night but would definitely have liked to stay longer. The staff were lovely and our room was clean and comfortable. We ate in the hotel and, despite a longer than usual wait, the meal was very tasty. The help yourself pantry was well stocked but, as a food allergy sufferer, I would have appreciated an allergen list to refer to. Quiet area with plenty of parking.

Beautiful rooms, great breakfast. Be sure to book early for dinner at the restaurant, as they get full, especially for earlier time slots. (And are closed Mondays and Tuesdays). It was nice to have access to the amenities of the resort and the Mount Washington Hotel nearby, like the swimming pool.

Fabulous 1 night stay on road trip through New England. Huge bedrooms, comfy beds, great soaps/toiletteries, gowns and amazing evening dinner on site and lovely breakfast. Very friendly staff, easy to find and all in all our favourite stop on our trip. Wished we had stayed and extra night!! Quirky but cosy place to stay! Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay. The staff are amazing, we used the pool and gym which only few guests seemed to take advantage of. It was also a pleasure to sit on the patio and look outside. Room above average size.

A lovely historic hotel in a beautiful setting. We had a two room suite which was large and airy. The bed was very comfortable indeed.
There is coffee and tea in the lobby and home made cookies from 4 pm.
We enjoyed sitting on the wonderful veranda in the evenings with a delicious cocktail created by Brian.
Loved the swimming pool situated in it's own little 'magic glade'.

Beautiful room in the Salt Box. Plenty of space to relax, King-size bed and beautiful bathroom. Breakfasts were included and served (only limited items on the buffet e.g. no fruit juice) so you have to order and…………tip!)
Food at breakfast and dinner is superb, fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavour.
Only downside of our 3 night experience was the Maitre d' experience ; plenty of available tables at breakfast but Kathy keeps you waiting at the desk while she fiddles with coffee maker,...
