"This has not been renovated since the Reagan years and the decor has a decidedly 80s vibe. At first I regretted my choice but the rooms were spacious, with a separate eat in kitchen and dressing area, and the staff was so nice that it made the stay quite pleasant. Yes, if you are into decor this place could really use a refresh but it’s clean, safe, with friendly staff and conveniently located next to GW. "

"Historical property. Our room was showing age and lack of maintenance. There were pits in the bathroom floor. A wall unit was partially falling out from the wall—not sure what it was. Staff was exceptional, always giving 100 percent to serve the guest. Good location for walking to almost all sites. "

"Room itself was fine but the staff and overall experience was awful. Upon arrival we were told our car ‘would not fit’ in the car park. The receptionist did not offer an alternative parking locating so we ended up driving around central DC looking for overnight public parking. Furthermore, I had to upload my passport and personal details to an online portal in order to check in. This was a time consuming and cumbersome process and leaves the actual receptionist utterly redundant, as I had to do the entire process myself on my phone. Awful service, genuinely felt like they had no interest in repeat custom. "

"The staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Can not say enough good things about Ashley at the reservation desk to the valet driver and the servers in the restaurant. The room was clean and as advertised. Only negative was no heat in the room on a cold night. Apparently the building runs only heat or air conditioning but not both available. Their heat goes off at beginning of April and we were there on 4/8. However, they did provide us with extra blankets"
